1. Are you an Internet Service Provider (ISP)?
We are not an Internet Service Provider, meaning we do not offer Internet access for your home or workplace. For local area access in the state of Vermont, you can try Stowe-based PowerShift toll-free at 1-877-949-7767 or locally at 802-253-6287; or SoverNet based in Bellows Falls at (802) 463-2111. There are also national ISPs, such as Sprint and AT&T that provide local access in many areas.

2. How can I get the Internet?
If you are trying to get access to the Internet, see above. If you are interested in having a presence on the Internet, such as a web site, please see Why Digital Frontier? to see if your needs might be fulfilled with our services. Please contact us if you are interested in having a web site built.

3. How can I get local access to the web?
We can not provide you with local access to the web. See the answer to question 1 above to find out where you might be able to find local access. Please note that no matter where you are, likely there is an Internet Service Provider (ISP) that can provide you with local access, whether they are a local company or a national company with many local dial-in numbers.

4. Can I get e-mail through you? How do I get e-mail?
If you are looking for an email address and a way to send and receive e-mail messages, please see a local or national ISP (see answers to question 1 and 3). We do not provide e-mail addresses or e-mail functionality.

5. Can you fix my computer?
We are not in the business of fixing computers. We suggest calling a local computer dealer. They may have staff or recommended resources.

6. How much does a web site cost?
Web site costs vary dramatically. We would be happy to provide you with a ball-park estimate or a comprehensive proposal, based on your needs and interest.

7. Do you provide hosting?
We do provide web site hosting for our web site clients. We do not offer hosting for existing web sites.

8. Can you help me with inntopia?

9. What makes you different from other web developers?
We offer comprehensive web development and design services, like most other web development companies. Where we differ is in the architecture that we use to build our web sites. We use our own proprietary InControl Architecture to build web sites from, allowing the non-technologist a degree of control over the content of the site that’s usually reserved for the technology staff. 10. I have a web site but I’m not sure if it’s working for me. Is there anything you can do to help me?
In order to assess your web site’s strengths and weaknesses, we need to understand what you are long and short term goals are for the site. It’s hard to say whether your web site is "working" for you if you don’t have specific goals associated with it. Once you establish what it is you are trying to achieve with your web site and evaluate its current effectiveness, we’d be happy to talk with you about updating, expanding or revamping that site if that is what you are interested in.

11. I am thinking about adding a commerce store to my web site to sell my products but am worried that it will be too expensive and too difficult to do. Can you help me understand what this will take to accomplish?
It is not difficult to turn your web site into an e-commerce site, with purchasing options available, and Digital Frontier is more than able to help you with that. We in fact have add-on e-commerce and shopping cart capabilities (see Bells and Whistles). It is not difficult to do and it is not overly expensive.
