Soccer
Welcome to the Shelburne Youth Soccer Website!!
The Shelburne Youth Soccer Program is a co-ed, non- competitive league open to all Shelburne residents in grades 1-8. Every child that wants to play is placed on a team and every child gets equal playing time. Sportsmanship and Fun are the primary objectives of this league, not winning. There are 4 divisions: Mites (grades 1 &2), Juniors (grades 3 &4), Intermediates (grades 5 & 6) and Seniors (grades 7 & 8). The season starts in late August and runs until the middle of October. Over 500 children participate in the program each year.
The Town of Shelburne Recreational Department and the Shelburne Soccer Committee run the program. The program depends on volunteers to coach the teams, referee the games, prepare the fields, coordinate the uniforms and administer the programs.

Financial assistance is available upon request at the Shelburne Recreational Department. Uniforms will be distributed the first week of practice.
Volunteer Opportunities
The Shelburne Youth Soccer Program would not be viable without the help of its volunteers. Volunteers are needed to coach and assistant coach teams, referee games, prepare the fields, sort and distribute equipment and uniforms and administer the program. If you are interested in volunteering, please call the Shelburne Recreational Department at 985-9551.
Referees Volunteer referees officiate the Junior, Intermediate and Senior level games. There are 1-2 referees per game. The Mites coaches referee their own games. Parents, community members and students in eighth grade and above are encouraged to volunteer to referee. Instruction on how to referee will be given to all new referees. Please call the Shelburne Recreational Department at 985-9551 if you are interested.
